Ethics in Publishing

The Brazilian Journal of Health Aromatherapy and Essential Oil (BJHAEO) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical practice in scientific publishing. Research involving animals must follow recognized national and international guidelines for animal welfare and ethical treatment. Authors are required to provide information on ethical approval and compliance with relevant regulations.

Author Responsibilities

Authors are expected to submit original work, avoid plagiarism and redundant publication, and accurately report data and results. All sources of financial support and any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed. Ethical approval and consent statements must be included when relevant.

Reviewer and Editor Responsibilities

Peer reviewers and editors must act with integrity, impartiality, and confidentiality. They are required to disclose any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from the evaluation process when appropriate. Editorial decisions are based solely on scientific merit, relevance, and methodological quality.

Corrections, Retractions, and Ethical Concerns

BJHAEO has established procedures for addressing errors, ethical concerns, or allegations of misconduct identified before or after publication. When necessary, the journal will issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern in a transparent and timely manner, in accordance with ethical publishing standards.
