How to Submit a Manuscript

The Brazilian Journal of Health Aromatherapy and Essential Oil is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal. All manuscript submissions are processed exclusively through the journal’s online submission system (OJS).

Submission Process

Authors must follow the steps below to submit a manuscript:

Step 1 – Access the submission system
Click on “Submissions” or “Make a Submission” in the journal menu.

Step 2 – Register or log in
Create a user account if this is your first submission, or log in with your existing credentials.

Step 3 – Start a new submission
Select “New Submission”, choose the appropriate article section, and confirm compliance with the journal’s submission requirements and policies.

Step 4 – Upload the manuscript
Upload the manuscript in Microsoft Word (.docx) format. The file must be fully anonymized to ensure a double-blind peer-review process.

Step 5 – Enter metadata
Provide complete and accurate metadata, including title, abstract, keywords, and author information (including ORCID iDs).

Step 6 – Review and confirm submission
Review all information and finalize the submission. A confirmation message will be sent automatically.

After Submission

All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment and, when appropriate, a double-blind peer-review process. Authors may track the progress of their submission at any time through the OJS system.
